KEVIN BOSS
OWNER
HEAD STRENGTH & PERFORMANCE COACH
A native of Philomath, Oregon, Kevin moved his family to Bend in the spring of 2012 after a successful 6-year NFL career, highlighted by a Super Bowl XLII victory with the New York Giants. While excelling as a two sport athlete at Western Oregon University, Kevin developed a deep love and passion for the training and nutrition side of sport. The passion and tireless work ethic that allowed Kevin to chase his NFL dream is the same drive & passion that he now uses to help build Boss Sports Performance into the Northwest’s premiere Athlete Performance Center.
Kevin founded Boss Sports Performance in 2014 with a desire to inspire and help athletes of all ages & sport reach their fullest athletic potential through comprehensive training programs. His vision is to create a positive & encouraging environment with all the necessary tools for athletes to succeed & excel in sport and life. He hopes to mold & shape the athletes to become the best version of themselves. Kevin is a health and fitness junkie and is excited to share his passion with the communities in Central Oregon through Boss Sports Performance.
SAM MCGINNIS
STRENGTH & PERFORMANCE COACH
Sam moved to the Bend area from Eugene with her Husband, Nolan, and they recently welcomed their baby girl Brenna to the team! Sam grew up in Lebanon, Oregon where she played in multiple sports through out her life: basketball, track, and cheerleading.
Sam started her formal education at Lane Community College in Eugene, Oregon and received her AAOT in Exercise and Movement Science. After LCC she attended Bushnell University (formerly NCU), graduating Summa Cum Laude with her Bachelor’s in Exercise Science with an emphasis in Exercise Physiology and Human Performance.
During her college career Sam became a Certified Personal Trainer under the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM). She worked for the University of Oregon’s Student Rec Center as a Personal Trainer, Group Fitness Instructor, and Fitness Team Manager. Sam interned and worked in several physical therapy clinics in Eugene and Bend as well.
Sam continued her education by acquiring NASM’s Corrective Exercise Specialist certification, is a Certified Speed and Agility Coach, and has her Prenatal and Postpartum Programming certification.

ERIK JORGENSEN
DIRECTOR OF PERFORMANCE
STRENGTH & PERFORMANCE COACH
A Bend, Oregon native, Erik graduated from the University of South Dakota (USD) with a Bachelors degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Exercise Science, and a minor in Coaching. He completed his sports performance internship at Landow Performance in Denver, CO. He gained valuable high-level experience working with both amateur and professional athletes in a variety of sports. Erik is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the NSCA and Level 1 USATF Certified Track Coach.
In addition to his exercise science educational background, Erik also parlayed his high school state championship in pole vault into a Division 1 college career by competing in pole vault and sprints for the USD Coyotes. Having experienced the transition period from high school athletics to college athletics, Erik has firsthand knowledge, and the ability to prepare his athletes for the college setting. His personal competitive sports background consists of a variety of sports including Track and Field (12yrs), Soccer (15yrs), Cycling (14yrs), Nordic Skiing, Baseball, Swimming, and Triathlon.

CHRISTIAN PARR
STRENGTH & PERFORMANCE COACH
Originally born in Bend, Christian grew up in Hubbard, OR and graduated from George Fox University with a B.S. in Exercise Science. In high school he played basketball, ran cross country, and found his strengths in track competing at the Oregon State Championships in the 800m.
At George Fox Christian found a deeper appreciation for the year-round consistency and discipline of training for the 400m, 800m, and 1500m in the winter/spring and running cross country in the fall. After collegiate sports, Christian continued to run competitively for the Ultimook Track Club for a couple seasons, and today he still races in middle distance events as an unattached athlete each track season.
Christian worked in a number of different physical therapy clinics after graduation, and has gained years of experience understanding injury prevention and developed a passion for human movement while working under world class PT/Biomechanics Researcher Jay Dicharry. To further these pursuits, Christian is currently studying through Texas A&M Corpus Christi to receive a M.S. in Kinesiology. Christian is also certified through the NSCA as a C.S.C.S. and has a Track and Field Technical Coaching certification through the USATFCCCA.
Aside from running, diversity of movement and athletics has always been at the forefront of his passions; recreationally, Christian enjoys more non-traditional sports such as skiing in the back country, mountain climbing, trail running, slacklining/highlining, and motocross.

EMILY LEAVITT
STRENGTH & PERFORMANCE COACH
Emily grew up in Redmond and enjoyed many outdoor activities with her family. In High school, she played volleyball and ran track. Her senior year she started teaching snowboarding at Mt. Bachelor and started to spend most free days on the mountain.
Coaching snowboarding in between college semesters was really where her love for teaching movement started, with all levels and ages, she loved seeing people learn to love the sport and improve their skills.
Moving to Southern California for college at Azusa Pacific, Emily learned both about human movement as well as psychology. She completed an internship at a Physical Therapy Clinic, that helped her learn more about injury recovery and the process of building strength around preventing further pain.
She finished her 10 week internship at BSP working with all the different programs from adult fitness to the summer elementary group (the highlight of her summer) and is super excited to continue coaching!
Outside of the gym Emily enjoys many outdoor activities like snowboarding, paddle-boarding, and playing volleyball with friends!

MAGGIE UMBERGER
STRENGTH & PERFORMANCE COACH
Maggie came to Bend by way of Chicago where she trained and and taught yoga for the last decade.
Originally from North Carolina, she’s a Tar Heel at heart. Maggie’s passion to help people unlock their potential through movement has led her to explore many types of movement modalities.
She is a full-time teacher and coach, and is especially passionate about helping people understand their bodies through breath to help them achieve their big goals. She coaches clients virtually, through her website, and leads yoga classes online and in Bend, as well as hosts yoga retreats annually.
If you work out with Maggie, you can expect to move safely, breathe more deeply, and learn in your body how small shifts will lead you towards big changes and more “a-ha!” moments in your movement practice.

MARCUS MCGOVERN
DIRECTOR OF ADULT FITNESS
STRENGTH & PERFORMANCE COACH
Marcus, another Bend, Oregon native, brings a lot to the table for our facility. As a Sheldon High school graduate, Marcus went on to play a very successful college football career as a three-year starter at Linfield College as a defensive end. He finished 3rd all-time in career quarterback sacks while simultaneously earning a bachelor's degree in Athletic Training.
Upon graduating, he moved to Chestertown, Maryland to work as an athletic trainer for Washington College. After a short stint at Washington College, Marcus moved to Las Cruces, New Mexico to pursue a Master of Education from New Mexico State University where he also worked as a graduate assistant athletic trainer for their football and men's tennis teams.
Shortly after, he decided to change careers to become a full-time strength and conditioning coach. This decision is what landed him back in his hometown of Bend as a part of the BOSS team with his eyes forward toward a big future at the gym.
Marcus has been a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) since 2018. He has also been a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association since 2019. Marcus is well-versed in training all types of athletes. He loves training both youth and adult athletes of all types, even those who participate in non-traditional sports like skiing, mountain biking or bow hunting.

EMILY WATSON
STRENGTH & PERFORMANCE COACH
Emily was born and raised in Sherwood, Oregon. She played softball and basketball in high school, traveling and playing competitive softball during the off seasons.
She moved to Tucson, AZ her freshman year of college, and studied Family Science and Human Development. After her first year, she transferred back to Oregon and started attending Oregon State University- Cascades here in Bend. She changed her degree to Kinesiology, and decided she wanted to pursue PT school post-grad, which she will start applying to Summer 2023.
While learning about human movement and physiology during her undergrad, she also worked with Rebound Physical Therapy for the last two years. Her time there taught her about injury recovery and prevention. In addition to learning how to correctly activate muscle groups to ensure correct form during exercise. Emily is also a Certified Personal Trainer through NASM.
Emily completed a 6 month internship with Boss working with adult fitness, HS and MS YAD, and shadowing large groups. She is looking forward to continuing her work with the younger population, and well as incorporating more 1-on-1 into her schedule.
In her freetime, she coaches softball for one of the local high schools, and spends a lot of time outdoors with her dog. Winter time, you can find her up at Bachelor whenever she has a free moment. And the Summer consists of lots of paddleboarding and concerts at the amphitheater.

CALEB TATUM
STRENGTH & BASKETBALL PERFORMANCE COACH
Caleb is a native of Bend and is extremely grateful to be back in his hometown with the opportunity to share his passion for training and athletics.
After graduating from Mountain View HS, Caleb spent a year playing football as a Quarterback for Shasta Community College before an injury influenced him to retire from football. This injury inspired a deep dive into the world of fitness and health, and ultimately began the journey to becoming a strength & conditioning coach. This inspiration is still at his core today which is why Caleb has a relentless mindset toward continued growth and education.
Caleb transferred to Eastern Oregon University where he walked on to the Basketball team before deciding to become a student assistant coach and run the strength & conditioning program. Caleb is excited to be back in Bend on a team dedicated to providing athletes with the best possible environment to excel in their sport and in life.

LINDSEY CORSARO
OFFICE MANAGER
Lindsey is originally from Indianapolis, Indiana, where she played a bunch of different sports growing up. Eventually, she focused solely on basketball. A McDonald’s All-American and Jordan Brand All-American coming out of high school, Lindsey made her way out to UCLA to continue her basketball career.
At UCLA, Lindsey started at guard and was a 4-year team captain. She studied Psychology through her undergrad and obtained a Master’s in Coaching and Leadership.
Post college, Lindsey moved to Santa Barbara and worked in various medical settings. She then moved to Bend in 2022, continuing in health and wellness related pursuits. Now, joining the team at Boss, Lindsey is excited to combine her love of overall wellness and health with her love of sports and athletic performance!
You’ll see Lindsey up at the front most days, and she is so excited to be in an environment like Boss and to meet each one of you!

REBOUND PHYSICAL THERAPY
Boss Sports Performance is where rehabilitation meets athletic performance. To make sure clients are getting the most elite care on and off the turf, Rebound Physical Therapy has partnered with BSP to be onsite and available for treatment.
Having well trained and sports minded physical therapist onsite allows for evaluations and treatment to coincide with training and return to sport fitness.
Unlike any other facility in Central Oregon, Rebound Physical Therapy @ Boss Sports Performance is able to help facilitate improvement through a partnership in integrated wellness, biomechanics, injury prevention, strength & conditioning, and rehabilitation.
