KEVIN BOSS
OWNER/ HEAD STRENGTH COACH
A native of Philomath, Oregon, Kevin moved his family to Bend in the spring of 2012 after a successful 6-year NFL career, highlighted by a Super Bowl XLII victory with the New York Giants. While excelling as a two sport athlete at Western Oregon University, Kevin developed a deep love and passion for the training and nutrition side of sport. The passion and tireless work ethic that allowed Kevin to chase his NFL dream is the same drive & passion that he now uses to help build Boss Sports Performance into the Northwest’s premiere Athlete Performance Center.
Kevin founded Boss Sports Performance in 2014 with a desire to inspire and help athletes of all ages & sport reach their fullest athletic potential through comprehensive training programs. His vision is to create a positive & encouraging environment with all the necessary tools for athletes to succeed & excel in sport and life. He hopes to mold & shape the athletes to become the best version of themselves. Kevin is a health and fitness junkie and is excited to share his passion with the communities in Central Oregon through Boss Sports Performance.
ERIK JORGENSEN
STRENGTH COACH
A Bend, Oregon native, Erik graduated from the University of South Dakota (USD) with a Bachelors degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Exercise Science, and a minor in Coaching. Erik is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the NSCA, and is also CPR/AED and First Aid certified.
TAYLOR BACH
STRENGTH COACH, OFFICE MANAGER
After interning with us in the spring of 2018 and leaving a lasting impression on everyone she came in contact with, we are very excited to have Taylor join the team full-time wearing several different hats! An Oregon State University alum, she has a Bachelors of Science in Exercise Sports Science, specializing in Fitness and Nutrition. She and her husband Chad are making Bend their forever home, by planting roots and getting involved in the community. She is the head cheerleading coach at Mountain View High School, where she plans to grow and expand the program, using her knowledge and experience as a competitive cheerleader. SAM MCGINNIS
STRENGTH COACH
Sam recently moved to the Bend area from Eugene, Oregon. She grew up in Lebanon, Oregon participating in multiple sports: basketball, track, and cheerleading. Sam started her formal education at Lane Community College in Eugene, Oregon and received her AAOT in Exercise and Movement Science. After LCC she attended Northwest Christian University, graduating Summa Cum Laude with her Bachelor’s in Exercise Science with an emphasis in Exercise Physiology and Human Performance. During that time She became certified under the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) as a Certified Personal Trainer.
DALTON HURD
STRENGTH COACH
Dalton, born and raised in Bend, Oregon, is now back in his hometown as a strength coach at BSP. The local Bend High graduate continued his education at Seattle University where he finished in June of 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Sport and Exercise Science. At SU, Dalton was an intern for the strength and conditioning program while also an athlete on the baseball team. After a successful D1 baseball career, Dalton now holds a record for nearly every offensive stat in SU history as well as a defensive player of the year award to go with it. Toward the end of his college education, Dalton was drafted by the Chicago Cubs as a center fielder where he would then report post-graduation. After spending a year and a half in professional baseball, Dalton decided to move on and follow his true passion in strength and conditioning as a coach here at BSP. As a former athlete of BSP, Dalton is excited to use his experiences and pass on knowledge to his home community.
